Biker.....Could you expound on that? I am trying to make a decision between Belieze and St Lucia on my next trip.

i would also like to know about St.Lucia diving. My daughter and brand new son-in-law are there on their honeymoon and doing two dive days...okay, it IS their honeymoon. I need to research St. Lucia a little bit more, because my wife and I are pretty much stuck on our comfort zones of Cozumel and Roatan. We need to think about exploring other dive sites. Variety is supposed to do the body good. :)

I might not be the most helpful as we weren't divers back in 2008 but we did stay at the Windjammer over New Years. Wasn't cheap but we had a 2 bedroom with a kitchen that I actually got lost in and the view...WOW. The resort is top on the island. We liked the Windjammer.

However we like to get out and about and see where we are staying. This is a problem in St Lucia as it takes forever to get anywhere due to the topography of the volcanic hilly island. If you want to do the Piton's you'll leave at 6am and plan on getting back late. We rented a SUV for the entire trip and my wife's foot was endlessly jamming the phantom brake pedal as I drove around. Endless blind hairpin turns on steep angles, average speed 20mph.

As for Steve's Scuba we did a snorkel trip that had divers on board and everyone seemed to have a good time. We were impressed and the staff was great.
