Any recommendations on dive operators? I heard bad reviews with the on-premise dive-op.
Sites to see?

Going there in September, not sure how the weather will be like.
But if possible I would go diving 1 or 2 days.

Hi, I represent Windjammer Landing and I think I can help you with a few of your questions!
Firstly, I'm sorry to hear about the bad reviews but hopefully our team can exceed your expecatations. Our on-site dive team Eastern Caribbean Diving run daily dives to dozens of sites in St. Lucia, and there are certainly some spectacular dives on the island. As a registered (infrequent) diver myself, I have dove at the piton wall and really enjoyed the experience, plus the mountains provide a great backdrop. Also, this article lists some other great dive sites Best Scuba Diving Sites in St. Lucia - Yahoo! Voices - voices.yahoo.com, or you can visit our dive team's website at St Lucia Diving & Snorkeling that is simply AMAZING. to make sure everything is ready to go.

We are also on Facebook and Twitter @windjammerstl, I would love to hear about your experience!

Hi- I have traveled to, and brought dive groups, to St. Lucia for the past sixteen years. I have always used Scuba St. Lucia, located on the Anse Chastanet/ Jade Mountain resort, as my dive operation. As with all entities and services associated with Anse Chastanet/Jade Mt., I have found that the operation is excellent. They have good, roomy dive boats, a well maintained selection of rental gear, secure locker facilities, and are located right in the Marine Sanctuary. Most travel times to dive sites are around ten minutes; and the house reef right off their beach is a constant source of surprises and an easy shore dive. Night dives are done on the house reef. Having traveled all over the world, I can add with a great deal of assurance that the staff of Scuba St. Lucia can hold a candle to any operation. They are professional, helpful, friendly, and safety oriented. I highly recommend them to you.

I heard good things about Scuba St. and I wish we stayed at Anse Chastanet. We were about to book the one week trip with them, and decided to wait until the morning to book it. Next thing we know their prices went up 30% next day. ( I blame my girlfriend).

Thanks for the info. St Lucia wasn't a trip I planned, but now I am getting more excited about going there.

Have you booked your trip yet?

Yes we have.

Another +1 vote for Scuba Steve's......did a 1 day 2-tank dive with them back in May while on a cruise ship trip----very good day of diving even though it rained like cats & dogs about 50% of time.......Here's my pics from that day...BTW, choose the premium package.....

Whoa those are great pictures!!! I wasn't thinking about bringing my scuba gear. After looking at your pictures I think I will.
I also have a S95!, were you using a strobe? but started filming videos with my GoPro instead.!!

I am impressed. Those pictures while it was raining?? Can you tell me what settings you used? Filter?? Very good pictures.

Do you remember the sites you went to? The reef looks very healthy.

Sites to see?
Superman's Flight - according to a regular dive buddy - I haven't been there yet.

I came back from St. Lucia last Friday and it was very nice. I will post my review after I edit the videos and find a a free soundtrack I can use.

A quick summary. St Lucia is one of the nicest island in the Caribbean I have been to. I was very impressed by the reef and the marine life. Also surprised the island has not popped out in the top 10 list of the best places to dive in Caribbean (scuba diving magazine). It's way better than Belize IMO.

While I was down there, the weather was perfect. I heard the week before it was raining a lot. The day of my departure it was hot and humid.
