I just completed my classroom and closed water dives and now need to complete four open water dives to complete my certification. I'm heading to St. Lucia in February, staying at Sandals.

Dive shop at Sandals (Grande St. Lucian) says I can complete my open water dives with them. Was wondering if there were any other dive shops close to the resort that I could check.

At Sandals resort, diving and gear rental are included, no extra charge. So if you dive with them, there's no extra cst for the diving. There may be some charges to do the extra paperwork, and completing the certification. Or you could just get proof of the 4 successful OW dives, and complete the paperwork with your shop back home. For the purpose of doing 4 OW dives, it should be fine to do it with Sandals. Well, they probably would only take you for one dive a day, as a non-certified diver. For certified divers, one can go do 2 dives a day.

If you go to other shops, there will be additional costs for gear rental, and for the dives. There should be no need to go to other dive shops unless you have a problem with the dive shop at Sandals, or want to go to dive sites Sandals don't go to.
