If St. Croix's North Shore is too rough or otherwise unsuitable for diving, do the North Shore operators head to East or West side of STX to dive?

St Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures (www.stcroixscuba.com) has a boats on both the north shore and the west end, no operators dive the east end or south shore. At SCUBA, we also dive long reef, the 7 mile long barrier reef that protects Christiansted harbor. It's a little more protected and doesn't get blown out as much as the cane bay or salt river areas (which we also dive on a daily basis) when the wind and swells pick up. we will usually do the first dive at either salt river canyon or cane bay, and then the second on long reef. Our boat on the west end also runs daily, so if you would like to dive the wrecks or the shallow reefs on that end, or get a little sea sick, it is always an option to you. We are the only operator on the island that dive every site here, however Cane Bay Dive Shop runs boats in the cane bay area and also the west end.

hope this helps!
