I'm a Fish!
got wet this morning at the jetties! 78degrees, 20-30ft viz on the first dive, way less on the second, the sheepshead were everywhere! high tide was at 841am Josh

Nice. I dove destin yesterday, had 20 to 25 feet of viz. there was a thick layer of algae on the bottom with some pieces through the water column. Not much fish. High tide was about 915.

Maybe my memory is off but it seems like the fish life on Destin jetties has been significantly less in the past few years. And not much variety. Lots of wrasses and crabs though.

I've only done Destin three times and I agree. My first dive there two summers ago seemed like more tropical fish and the last two dives this year just some wrasse, a couple of stone crab, a few damsels and the occasional flounder. I've noticed a lot more life at Ft. Pickens.
