A quick report of the St. Andrews Park yesterday 3/17/2012....
High Tide was predicted for 648pm for 1.8FT, we entered the water at about 415pm .
The water was surprisingly comfortable, I opted to forego the drysuit and went with a 3/2 full suit with hood and gloves. It was a perfect configuration for me. One other diver with us was diving a full "Lavacore" suit, he was chilled by the end of dive, and the third diver was wearing a 5mm with hood and seemed comfortable as well.
We encountered a mild inflow current on the the way out and near slack on the way in.
Water temps varied from 65f at 70FSW to around 70F in the kiddie pool.
Visibility ranged from 25FT at 70FSW to 10FT at the worst.
We picked up a lot of lures and lead........
We called it at around 45 minutes bottom time.
It was a bit crowded upon arrival, but we waited it out and found a great parking spot and had a table to setup on. There were other divers present, however we never encountered any underwater.
A great day!
