Yes, they were !!! Kevin and I met at the Dive Locker at about 8:00 to get some tanks filled. We were not the first divers at the park but we were early enough to get a good parking spot near the walkway. We suited up and hit the water a little before 9:00. The water was about as clear as we had ever seen ( about 35 ft or so) and temp was perfect for the 3mm full suit I had on. We slithered over the rocks and droped to the sand at the foot of the rocks. From there, we swam along the bottom toward the Gulf. There was a slight current but nothing to even effect our SAC rate. We saw many beautiful fish and corals. We turned around, accended to about 35 ft, and let the current slowly drift us over the rocks back to our entry point. Along the way, Kevin found an awsome light gray anemone with bright orange tips. On that dive we spent 30min at 69ft.
We took a 52min SI and enjoyed the wonderful beach scenery!! On our second dive we were going to go the other way down the jetties but there were too many fishermen, so we went toward the gulf again. Our dive profile was exactly the same, down the jetties, past the boat, turned around, accended, and drifted back. On this dive we took more time looking in holes and under rocks, we saw many large schools of bait fish and many large, lunch sized, red fish, grouper, AJs, and snapper. We even saw a large grouper with a fishing lure in its mouth. I also found a very small bright orange bleenie on top of a rock that I had never seen before. On our second dive we logged 45min at 69ft. All in all we had a great day with two fantastic dives...You should have been there!!!!!!
