Hmm, I want to be careful not bringing up the whole thing again. Do some searching on SB on "GUE vs UTD" and "Andrew Georgitsis" you'll find a lot of good reading material. Also check out http://precisiondiving.net/blog/the-gue-vs-utd-situation . In my opinion this stuff happened long enough ago, for someone like me who's just looking to learn, the old drama doesn't matter too much. A lot of the older DIR guys have strong feelings though.

Are you in NYC? Maybe we can be teammates on some upcoming dives :)

Thanks. Also I've had the pleasure of working with two different UTD instructors so far (Brady Fuchs in San Diego & Ryan Custureri in Florida), and both have been nothing but excellent and professional. Both take my training just as serious as I do, I can't say enough nice things about them. March will be my first experience with the GUE (Kyle Harmon in Florida), so I will report back on that too.
