Thanks Uncle Ricky.
Any idea on ballpark costs?
Our Foundations course will be $379 + gas + any boat & site fees. $179 of that is the course materials.
If someone's starting without all of their own equipment then they'll have that expense too, including one dedicated deco bottle and regulator. Our course (Adventure Sports II in Montgomery) will be tailored towards the Gulf of Mexico (rigs & wrecks & spearfishing) and the Florida springs (prep for the NACD/NSS-CDS cave curriculum). I plan do two qual dives in the springs and four in the gulf, with two of those on the Oriskany, but of course site selection can vary depending on conditions and student desires.

Thanks, Rick for the information.
As a SSI diver I am glad to see that they started some Tech courses. I have talked to me LDS which plans to teach Tech training. I guess after I finish up my DiveCon course I can start on Tech. Might be a little too much to all take on at one time.

Oh well, " technical" diving is getting more popular. As it does, it's only expected that all the agencies will get in on it. then too, it's not like the "tech" agencies have done such a great job that there isn't room for competition.

Mike ... you missed the SSI press release technical diving is not getting more popular is the next "extreme" sport. Now a days if the word extreme is not in the description there is no chance for it with the GenX crowd.
