Hey all :) new to this but not to diving! however after recently completing my TDI Adv. Nitrox & Deco Procedures i have a question for all the pros out there.

I dive cold water so have a drysuit and nice thick gloves, however when it comes to launching a SMB using a finger spool i find it hard to keep the damn thing in my hands as the SMB shoots to the surface. My finger doesnt fit in the hole in the spool due to the gloves so looking for some advice in maintaining good spool retention and not loosing to the depths below lol

Cheers
