Splashbags

Hello!

I have lots of Q's about underwater videography, mostly about housings and I am currently going through the threads for info, however I couldn't find anything on splashbags.

Does anyone know which company "invented" and distributed the first splashbags?

Are they actually useful? Are they used often as a suitable housing for underwater videography?

What are the pro's/con's? If any. And what are the alternatives?

Does anyone here use them personally?

Any info on them is appreciated

If you mean these - the answer is no. They're rain guards, not useable underwater. HydroFlex, Inc. - Splash Bags

Otherwise there's the ewa-marine line - they're functional to about 10M. ewa-marine: Video They've been making them since the 70's.
