I have a trip in a couple of weeks and I was preparing my case. I noticed some spider cracks on the backside of the case. The cracks look superficial. The cracks seems to be only on the outside and i can just barely feel the cracks with my finger nail. Does anyone have a clue if I will have any issues.

I had cracks on my ikelite housing that I did not even know we're there. Never leaked..Ikelite found them on a routine checkup. They rebuilt the entire front of the housing at no charge . It was an old housing that was no longer in production. At least 10 years old or more. That's customer service!

I believe that is crazing. Sometimes the result of chemical reaction, more often stress, or better, built in stress relief. It will likely cause no issue other than if it obscures your vision. Crazing is generally internal, just below the surface and may not have a surface expression.

I've had 2 Ike lite housings develop cracks near the control ports, both times Ikelite repaired them but I think they are stressed related manufacturing defects . Keep a check on any cracks mine didn't leakage the surface but did once I was deeper than 30ft.
