Dive Master (Seasonal)
Come join our dive master team. We are hiring for seasonal positions to work from May 19 through August 17. Position pays $9.50 per hour.
This position works with our dive team creating memorable experiences for our dive guests. You will be responsible for conducting the daily guest diver experience programs, Shark Dive Experience (SDE) and Scuba and Snorkel Experience (SASE), with a priority on guest safety and a quality experience. Perform functions of safety diver, photographer and greeter in a rotational capacity.
Duties include:
Assist guests in entering and exiting shark bay and coral reef exhibits;
Supervise the in water safety of children;
Serve as a greeter for Shark Dive Experience to include greeting guests, presentation and registration paperwork;
Prepare guest dive experience equipment and materials;
Perform routine cleaning and securing equipment at the end of each shift;
May assist Staff Dive Supervisor with inventory of equipment.
Requirements:
Dive Master or equivalent from a nationally recognized SCUBA training organization
Current certification in First Aid, CPR and Oxygen administration
Underwater liability insurance required
Good presentation and public speaking skills
Previous experience diving with sharks preferred
Previous experience working with childrens water safety programs a plus
