Where can I dive from to have the shortest boat ride possible to get to the Speigel Grove. One operator in Tavernier estimated a 50 minute ride to the Speigel Grove. Is this typical from all locations?

Travel times to and from the Spiegel Grove vary widely, depending on where the dive boat is docked, and how fast it can comfortably cruise. The latter is largely affected by wind and waves. Many boats in Key Largo, ours included, can make the trip to the Grove in thirty to forty minutes. Some operators claim to make the trip in just twenty minutes. Some ops also impose a fuel surcharge. If in doubt, ask.
