Work is closed, I'm going diving.

Are any of you other heathens going out on 4/6 on the Spectre?

I've had a work week form hell and though I normally only work a half day on Fridays, I'm thinking of blowing off the job and going diving. Depends on how much crap I can shovel today and if I get organized tonight. Might just see youse all there!

Update: I'm booked on the boat! Look forward to diving with you guys!

How was the diving? I developed a virus and the Dr said no diving. :shakehead

Sorry you missed it Surly...hope you're recovering.

I buddied up with Dana and Bryan. Weather was ok...overcast sky but not too windy, a gentle swell on the way out to Anacapa. First stop was the east side of Cathedral Cove and the doggies were waiting for us. Lots of Sea Lion activity...got to play a bit with a group of 5-7. Even mosied up close to one on the sandy bottom until we were about 3 feet apart, eye to eye. Surge swell got dicey close in, but managable. Took a look at the south side of the island but the swell surge there was pretty nasty, motored back to the north side. Second dive was Goldfish Bowl, third dive was west end of Cathedral. Lots of kelp. Still working out how to dive my drysuit but had a nice time swimming around with my buddies. All in all, a fine day out.

Robert:

The drysuit will work out soon. I thought I was a complete buffoon on my first four dives dry and now I have no idea of how I ever dived without it. I like Spectre a lot. It was my first SoCal dive boat, and my first trip to Anacapa was what convinced me to get serious about diving.

Robert,

When I get a chance I'll post and send you pictures...
especially the one of you and the sea lion staring each other down!
