Curious on how many people would purchase the specialized Diving Plates for there vehicles. I understand some states already have them. We are looking to get some here in Utah. But in general who would purchase them or has them.

I've learned that to avoid getting targeted by thieves and hassled by ferry workers I shouldn't put anything on my truck that is dive related. So no dive flag stickers, no fancy license plates...nothing.

There's some great plates here in Florida with reef, shark, turtle, etc motifs.

Cheers.

I'd be interested to know what others have in the way of designer plates (related to diving) on their cars...unless this violates some privacy law:confused:

One of the best I saw (unrelated to diving) was: O2BN0G

If no one gets it I'll post the answer.

Being a member of the US Air Force, I have an USAF license tag on my truck. But, my Dive Flag plate is the first thing you see at the front of it. That's as close as I can come to it.

Here in Californian, we get a ticket if we don't have the "official" matching plate on the front bumper. Good thing we got the government concentrating on the important things!:shakehead

Mine says "SOLO DVR". My PADI instructor "loves" it when his DM (me) shows up to help with OW classes and I back in so that everyone can see! The dive flag is on the front. The personalized plate was only 20 bucks extra and renews for the regular rate of 30.

Nothing on my car. I'd rather not have anything that would let thieves know there's expensive SCUBA gear inside.

What does BC Ferries want you to do with it? Charge you for hazardous materials?
