i would say "no way in he..."

no, just kidding... i don't see why not. people check in guns all the time

Continental has no problem with them. Don't know about other airlines. Hank

You can carry a speargun in checked luggage on any airline. I would suggest you contact the specific airline to see how to pack / transport. In most instances you will need to declare the weapon at check-in. Airlines have different procedures. I have never had a problem w/ any airline - and I travel a lot - checking firearms, and on one occation, a spear gun.

I fly to Europe/Middle East with mine on a regular basis. there is NO PROBLEM with it.

Checked luggage only. don;t forget to completly vent your pnumos before flight.

Try to pack it in the " Least Identifying" case that you can. I have a fellow spearo who bought a nice Walmart $40 hard plastic rifle case that came in a cardboard box. He kept the outer box to make it look non-descript when checking it in. PVC tubes work also if your gun will fit.

It amazes me that people spend well over a hundred dollars on nice dive bags that are sticker'd with every dive logo out there, or pelican cases with dive flags on every surface, containing thousands of dollars of equipment. I would hate for a fellow diver to lose their camera, dive gear, or speargun while arriving for the first day of a vacation.
