Spearfishing in Key Largo?

Hello all, I am going to the keys for vacation. Gonna stay at John Pennycamp. Need info on where to spearfish around key Largo. Gotta avoid the Marine Park and Sancuarys. I do not want to get arrested. Are there any detailed maps or websites I can use? Do I need a fishing licence? Any Info welcome. Thanks in advance.

yes you need a fishing permitt, i think you can buy short term outa state permits if your not a resident. you can also spear in some areas of the park , but ask a locall for more info. i was there last week and did very well. just remember "keep it legal" or F.W.C. will bust your but.
