Anybody been to the coronado islands and spearfished? What is good to shoot there. how much is a fishing license?

You will need a Mexican fishing license. Whites and yellows mostly and a few blue fins. Skirt around the kelp beds for yellows. Whites are often inside the kelp or up against the islands at dusk. Lots of current. In open water, swim upstream of the bait (blacksmiths) and hold position. Vis is usually around 50 feet. Bring a stout grappling hook. Bottom is hard, some sand.
