I was recently given a JBL 38 Special that has not been used in a while. I am trying to find a source for the little rubber spacers on the spear tip that cause the barbs to stick out. I understand they are called tensioners. I appreciate any the help.

Why not try the size 11 o-ring, It works well and easier to buy in bulk.

Honestly, I've used a number 64 rubber band that is cut with a pair of scissor to a very sharp point and then I either pulled it through or pushed it with a paperclip. It doesn't have to look pretty, but work.

Thanks for the input. Mine is the older type that wraps around like an o-ring with flanges on each end. I was thinking of just wrapping a rubber band around a bunch of time. Hadn't thought of o-rings. Thanks Hallmac.
