I went with LIKE TO GET WET. We hit the water about 9:00. The weather was beautiful. Water temp was 65 deg. Visability was about 10ft. A little cloudy at depth. The only crabs that were visible were in traps, and lots of traps out there.

After the dive ended we headed to SEA TREK so he could top off his tanks. He met up with 2 others that were suiting up and planning on diving Sugar Barge. Maybe he can give an update on that on.

On a side note. Anyone familar with SEA TREK...Pete had a stroke. He is doing well he says, and regaining most of his mobility back.

The Sugar Barge turned out Ok with viz about 10 feet. Jason and Alex enjoyed it. They were just certified and the Barge was loaded with fish... actually more than I have seen in quite some time. It never seemes to change but it was their first time so they were excited. Dove Spanish Rocks with them and with no equipment failure like our morning dive. The wind had shifted and the tide was in so vis was reduced from our morning dive and again... lots of crabs.

Friends from out of town will be down next Saturday and I plan on taking them out. I will keep an eye on the weather but plans call for Spanish Rocks around 10:00 of any one wants to join us.

Hope you can make it Chris... It will be nice to complete a dive with you ( Ha Ha )

Me and a friend, she's a newbie, may meet you all out there saturday morning. We were going to go this past sunday, but partying took priorty the night before. ;( Hopefully, I can grab a few claws.

You guys see any jellies? The waters around Venice were full of them.

Did not see any.. How was the dive in venice. Have not been there since February/

Venice was the best i've ever seen it. had to be 15 20 foot vis. Of course I was probably 300 to 400 yards off shore diving from a boat. Vis within a few yards of shore may not have been that good.

Is this site off 33rd st, Bradenton Beach? I think I dove it once, saw lots of sponges and a turtle but not sure if I made it all the way to the rocks. Are you still on for saturday 11-17-07 and do you have room for one more? I'm going to dive there on sunday also but I live local and would like to do both days, more experience. I did Venice last sunday, found 2 Megalodon teeth, water was 68 degree's and lots of jellies. I also did the sugar barge a few weeks ago, also had lots of jellies so be prepared.

Yes we plan on Spanish Rocks at 10:00. I will be diving with my wife and 2 friends... Always room for more and the more the merrier. I know it is about 1.7 miles north of Seatrek. Take Gulf Drive north to the first traffic light . Bear left staying on Gulf Drive. The street curves to the beach access on the right. We hope to see you then.
