just out of curiosity i was wondering which reg would be a better choice and why it is a better choice??
mk17/g250v is a spectacular reg but what about the Dive Rite 3000??

which regulator would u personally go with and why???

The 3000 is all black and has a swivel turret, cool, it'll make you feel like a Navy Frogman. On the other hand, you can purchase other generics similar to the Dive Rite, eg, an Edge Epic with octopus for 300 bucks. Both regulators of good quality but maybe different terms regards warrantees. The Scubapro reg is backed by an internationally recognized company. That may be the pick if universal recognition is needed and if one values its rep and somewhat retro design which I presume you have researched on Scubaboard. IOW, it was brought back in the wake of wide acclaim.

I went with the diverite 3500's, they are cold water ready and you only have to get them serviced every two years to get the free parts. They are on sale for $399.00, I got two for $600 from an authorized dealer and they breath great.
