This really puzzles me. I have a Scubapro BC that is leaking where there Air 2 attaches to the BC hose (not powerinflator hose). I have tie wrap where the hose meets the Air 2 and the tie wrap is on very tight. When I inflate the BC, it leakes from around the hose distal to the tie wrap. How air could escape is beyond me. I see no holes or tears in the hose. Putting the same Air 2 on a different SP BC does NOT replicated the problem implying that the problem is in the original BC hose.

I can replace the hose (cost ??) but would like to know why this problem is occuring. There is nothing that gets between the hose and air 2 plastic either. Just puzzling.

Thank you for your help.

Some models of the Air 2 require a screw clamp as well as the tie wrap to get a good seal. Does yours have both?

No screw clamp on this one.

Sounds like a small hole in the corrugated hose. If you want to play around with it, I belive both ends of that hose are the same. You could swap the BC end with the Air2 end. Then zip-tie the BC end both high & low on the connector which doers not have the small holes for pinning the cable to a pull dump like the air2 has. That may stop the pressure from reaching that hole.

If the corrugated hose is otherwise in good shape, that may even be a satisfactory long term solution.

Well the safetest thing to do would be to take in to the shop and have them look at it. If an issue continues, I'll replace the hose. I saw some @ Northeastern Scuba supply for about $15. What is the ideal length?

BINGO!!

One thing I have noted with some corrogated inflator hose, power inflator and zip tie combinations is that they will leak slightly where the ends of the tie wrap joins.

It is a confluence of a tie wrap that has a large "gap" where the two ends connect, a corrogated hose that is thin enough and flexible enough to gather just a bit and lift itself off the inflator and into the gap in the zip tie, and an inflator fitting with not quite enough ridge in it to prevent the leak.

The easiest solution is to use two zip ties to secure the hose with the ends of each zip tie meeting on opposite sides of the inflator fitting. This prevents air from migrating past the gap in each one respectively.

Simple fix usually.

Along with the zip ties. Just coat the inside of the corrageted hose with neoprene cement, let it cure for a minute. Replace Air2, zip tie it. It should stop the leak.
