OK, I'm sure this has been posted, but I've not had any luck with the key words I've tried.

I want to get some larger XD cards for our SP-350, and want to get the largest and fastest that are supported. With all the SP-350 users on this forum, I'm sure someone can recommend a size, type, and brand which has given them good performance with this camera.

Thanks for the info in advance,

Vic

I use a 1gig card in mine. I think they make a 2g card, but I have never tried it.

2GB is the largest available, and the Type-H is faster than the Type-M.
I just ordered a second card for my back-up camera from HERE.
$39.98 + $1.00 USPS S&H.
It's was supposed to be a Fuji 2GB Type-H, but they actually sent me an Olympus 2GB Type-H.

That's an excellent price (local too! (408) area code is Silicon Valley). I'll have to try these guys. I got my last two gig from an out of state internet outfit for about $5 more + shipping.
It's nice that prices have come down to just expensive, not ridiculous. I paid $64.95 for my first 1 gig type M (M=Slowwwwww H=1/3 less slowww) I haven't noted any difference between the Fuji and Oly versions. I suspect they all come out of the same factory and just get different names printed on them. Now how about a 4g type XXH. It would be nice to take less than 7 seconds to process a RAW shot and shoot for a weekend without changing cards, although you'd still have to swap batteries after a day of diving.

On the Olympus site they have the M+, which they say is 1.5 Times faster than the M, but they don't mention or compare it to the H.

They have the 2 GB M+ listed for $36.99. So which is faster M+ or H?

Thanks again,
Vic

The H is listed as 2 to 3 times faster, the M+ listed as 1-1/2 times faster. I did notice the H cards are not on the Olympus accessory site anymore.

I don't think it'll be a big deal with video, except for the download time. Main advantage of the H card is shooting RAW, you drop from about 12 seconds down to about 7.

Thanks for all the input. I went with the 2GB H card from the vendor listed above. My wife always complains about the write time, and when she ran out of memory on a dive, I heard about it all week... some how it was my fault. I figure it's easier to get a larger memory card and just say "yes dear".
