Renovated Soviet Military diver propulsion vehicle, model # Protei-5. Built in November 1970. Excellent condition with the original shipping crate and spare parts. It had never been used until I restored it in March 2008. Has about 25 dives on it, runs fast. You can see a thread on the Protei-5 on Rebreatherworld.com, with about 12,000 hits. There are five Youtube videos of this scooter. This is the only one in the United States that is known operational. Heavy duty, can withstand extreme depths, run time estimated of 2+ hours. I have not worn out the batteries on any dive. Currently painted bright red with Red Star on either side. Custom designed and welded SS handlebar, for ease of scootering. Hand truck and wooden transpo sled included. Many photos available to be sent to you. Very few of these exist in the world. Photo of my ex GF riding the DPV, photograph taken by myself. Photo in black was taken without handlebar in 2008. Asking price is $5K
Thank you,
-Dan Wright (917) 617-4536

2 thumbs up...that is one bad ass unit!

Hey, that picture of your ex on the scooter looks like it was taken in a certain sunken helicopter in a certain Dutch Springs.
