Southwest Indiana Diver

Hi everyone. I'm just trying to network a little and try to find some dive buddies across the country so if I happen across any extra cash and need somewhere to sink it I might have a place to go. I don't have a lot of ocean diving experience I am a public safety diver with a local fire dept. so I dive in a lot of rivers and small farm ponds no visibility or fun, so I thought I'd try this.

... you know there are a couple of decent quarries in your neighborhood - - - but I'm sure as a PSDiver, you are aware of those. One over in Southern Illinois (Brookport) - Mermet Springs where there is a submerged wingless jet fusalage from the movie 'U.S. Marshalls'....

..lived in Indiana for 5 years - landlocked diving leaves a lot to be desired, but any puddle is good enough when you HAVE to get wet!

No fun diving here, Kansas is as bad or even worse than Indiana for dive sites.

Welcome to the board. Short of a trip to Lake Michigan or the tropics, Mermet is it for me. Nice quarry dives, great staff, very well run operation. Give a shout on the board, there's allways someone ready to get wet.
