Hi everyone,

Not really sure if this is the right place in the forums to pose this question but it seems that all of my dive buddies have either:

1) Moved away
2) Gone back to school and no longer have time to dive
3) Are lazy

As for me, I'm a self-sufficient (read: I carry my own stuff!) 22 year old girl interested in going diving...more.

I am only OW certified at the moment, planning to get more in the near future.

I'm adventurous, fearless without being reckless, and basically just want someone to have fun with.

I'm in the South Florida area and wouldn't mind going anywhere from Boynton to Miami...I just want to start diving more. If you're in the area, man or woman, and would like to dive with a fun, chilled out, capable diver, please let me know!

Hi Mel! Welcome to the board. We are very fortunate to live in an area that is home to an incredibly active group here on ScubaBoard, the Florida Conch Divers. There are about 20 of us from Ft. Lauderdale to West Palm that have something going on just about every weekend. Pop on over to the Florida Conch Section, or even better, opt into the MoF thread and introduce yourself!

Hey Kevin,

I just befriended you, I think. How do I find those threads?

Also, I'm going to add you on myspace :-)

Awesome!

I think the MoF thread you have to opt into the surface interval forum to see... it's sort of a chat thread, but it is South Florida heavy. Here's a link to the forum, opt in, and then you should start seeing the Mof thread when you search "New Posts". The Florida Conch Forum is located here, and is kinda what's going on in Florida, but again, it's very South Florida heavy.

welcome aboard

Cool! I'm glad you're up for coming on down to see us. Buried in the thread somewhere there are directions to the park. I think on the second page or so. Head to the last page at some point and make a post to let everyone know you're coming.

I may not have been in the proper group when I posted for a buddy during the week of March 3rd but I'm glad to see that people are connecting as a result. Mel, if you are still interested in diving during that week, that would be cool. Text me during the week of March 3rd and we can meet up somewhere: 514-249-2740. Hope to dive with you. Cheers.
