Source for Halcyon Scout LED module?"

Looking to upgrade my Scout with the new LED module. Appreciate any tips on where I might get a good deal on one.

The SL4 module fits in the scout and is better (plus cheaper) than the Halcyon upgrade. (3W vs 1W)

You just have to put some electrical tape on the bottom side of the light module and reverse the batteries.

Tape on the bottom of the module? What do you mean. Is this just to bump up the diameter of the module so it fits?

I just did this upgrade, and the tape goes around the side of the module. Not on the bottom. Look at the part you are replacing--it is plastic on the side. The insulating property of the plastic is what you are imitating with the electrical tape.

Get an SL4 led light, swap the heads, use the sl4 as a backup for a buddy. The upgrade is wonderful but not worth it for the mini scout...not enough battery power in the mini!
