We have many pair of Force Fins in the family dating back to my original purchase of a red pair for my wife in the 80's. A few have bungee kits, but I recently had to swap standard strap set to a bungee set on a pair that my grandson is using for his certification course. It was hard, but doable. The catch is that both grommets got a bit mangled, and I hate the way they look. I know that I can buy new sets of straps, but that seems like quite a waste just to acquire some grommets.

SO: can I buy some spare grommets somewhere? I've filled out the web-form at the FF web site and asked this question several times.

Another question I've asked FF without response is whether or not they know of any way to restore old Force Fins to that "just made" look. Our red, yellow, and blue ones have become oxidized and have a kind of unattractive slickness (see picture below). When new they had a sort of satin texture. Has anyone managed to restore their Force Fins to "like new" look?

Well, I can't say I'm overwhelmed with the help in this forum and haven't received answers to several posts directed to FF via their web interface over a period of months. Really--Nothing?? Would a phone call be better?

Holly Smokes, I made your Yellow fins back in 1982. I had hair then. Solarbuddy, Thanks for years of support. Our customer service is just Susanne and I at this time. I had hoped to put Force Fin to sleep for a few years, but I could not turn down several large orders and listening to so many wonderful customers like your self who wanted us around. So we are back and running at full Force. Susanne and I now plan to move to the next level. Send me a private message and I will send you some gromets. Color changes will happen over time, Silcone helps. Photo copyright Steve Barsky Best, BobBobEvans_11.jpg
