My finger-tips get sore within minutes after I dive. Does this happen to anyone else? Does anyone know what causes it, or how it can be avoided?

Stop touching the coral? LOL. Just teasing. No, I really don't know why. Strange. Cold water?

The water is cold, but my gloves keep me warm. And no, they are not too tight. ;-)

Diversion:
Check the discussion in the medical forum. The same topic is being discussed...

Good link D. Yes, I also have had sore fingers after a dive sometimes too. Especially when diving wet and pulling that wet suit on and off over and over again. I forgot that this has happened to me too. I think the constant water submersion and hauling gear etc... can lead to sore fingers, especially at the tips and around the fingernails.

Hi all. I'll be putting a welcome up in introductions but.
Ive started my open water yesterday (pool day) and this morning one finger tip is very sore.
Thats how i found this forum and as someone has suggested already i beleve ts sore due to manipulating the gear...pushing the fingernail into the coushy meat on the end of the finger..... sore when i squeeze the thumb against it.
