On a dive at turtles you can find dozens of turtles. It's great that they accept that we're around and I can get some nice close ups of them!

Stumpy looks like he has attitude. Thanks for sharing these guys.

Poor thing! But it looks like there was nothing there rather than something missing. His attitude is priceless.

Awhhhhhhh poor stumpy. nice shots though. thanks

Ain't turtles fun! Looks like Stumpy had a little too much of it. Thanks leesa.

And it's always nice to see that just coz you're missing a bit doesn't mean you can't get big!!
Stumpy's cousin, missing his left front flipper, usually hangs out at the St. Anthony's wreck in S. Maui. He had been AWOL for a couple weeks, but it turns out he just moved over to Ulua for a while.

You can see the stub move under the skin when he swims.

The most common guess is that he lost the fin from a shark attack, but nobody knows for sure.

Looks like a small fella...stumpy is about 4 or more feet (across the shell).
There is another one off Makaha is missing a rear one, he's called Tripod :D

Great pics Lisa,

I really like "stumpy"
