On May 27th CLUB 21 opens by invitation only to Cruz Roja and patrons. The next night May 28th it opens to the general public.

It is located in a beautiful Grecian style building on Calle 7 between Ave 20 and 25. Two stories of fun and games of chance.

In addition to video slots there will be Texas Hold Em, Black Jack, and Roulette, all are multi player electronic games. Oh do not forget the BINGO machines.

Snacks and drinks will be available.

I know there will be the nay sayers, but this is not a full blown, lights in the sky, Las Vegas show. Should be fun for a night out on the town.

Sounds like fun, Hopefully it benefits the locals in some way. Gambling in Pesos will be fun, I'll feel like a high roller!

Wow that's sad. The less fortunate are going to pay, they are the one that loose. That has devestated the people here on the reserves. NOT to mention the welfare cheques that get spent downtown here twice a month because of the word chance. I abhor gambling halls.

Gambling in Cozumel???

Well - not exactly, since gambling is still illegal in Mexico. I am sure the 'pay out' is in prizes or vouchers - can you say Dave & Busters?

Still might be fun for a night - just don't expect the million dollar jackpot.

Sports betting is okay in Mexico.

Have fun

Actually gambling is not illegal. There are a bunch of small casinos through out Mexico. There are several in Cancun, Merida, and Playa del Carmen, and in many other cities. Most are small in size and do not compare to a Las Vegas Casino. This one has been 3 years in the making and a ton of paperwork for the permissions to operate.

There will be a dress code so that you will not see workers coming in from the boats etc. It will also provide some jobs for cashairs, bartenders, cooks, waitresses, and security.
