Here's a small gallery of the photos I took diving off of Moorea.

My first time shooting underwater... just used a Canon point-and-shoot with no additional lighting.

My favorite (used Photoshop to bring the colors back, maybe past the point of realism... but hey, it looks cool):

G'Day Blackwood,

It looks like you had a brilliant time. I love tropical diving.

I think underwater photography is a brilliant way to re-live the dive. I bet you have looked at your images over and over again! It is so cool hey!

Great First go mate. Are you hooked? Having a camera changes the way you dive doesnt it?:D

Yours Truly,

It was certainly amazing. Heh, around here, I'm happy when the viz breaks the 10 foot mark. I can't even estimate how far I could see there, other than to say it was well over 100 (depth at which I looked up and could CLEARLY see the boat).

Can't wait to do some more. Will probably do Honduras next year (assuming hurricanes don't destroy it).

Having a camera changes the way you dive doesnt it?:

Most definitely. My DIR buddies would be ashamed :P

Are you hooked

Well, I don't know. I think I may shoot about half the time. I found myself more concerned with getting shots than enjoying the dives. I do the same when I bring my cameras with me hiking, etc.. I become fixated on photography.

I remember one hike I took in northern California... afterwards, my fiancee and her cousin were talking about how amazing it was. Sadly, I couldn't participate in the conversation other than to say, "I don't know, I spent most of the time metering light."

But I did get this out of the deal:
