well i'm finally getting my first set of equipment completed after having rented for a few years - got my mosquito and wanted a small spg...found a barely used console with suunto sm26 pressure gauge, seaquest depth, and suunto sk5 compass (for under 100 bucks).

So my first thought was tear out the pg and put the compass on the wrist which i did...

and now i think i want to dive it with all the stuff back in the boot!

while some prefer wrist and some prefer console compasses i'm not so sure i have such a strong preference -

But i do wonder if its BETTER to keep the spg IN THE BOOT, for shock protection swivel rather than loose on a retractor...

Any preferences / experiences ?

How do you like your Mosquito? Is the ascent rate indicator usable/visible? Is it too conservative?
