Not a mushroom coral. Mushrooms are soft corals. Definitely a large polyp stony (LPS). Perhaps a Pagoda Cup Coral Turbinaria Sp.?
I could be wrong, but it doesn't look healthy. Bleached and it looks like it's showing signs of tissue necrosis.

Could be. I owned a galaxea coral before. It looked a bit different than those pics... Super aggressive coral. Definitely the meanest coral I've owned.

I know you’re kidding but they aren’t that far off. I had an Aussie hammer coral that ate a sea hare. That was an interesting day in the tank rescue department.Did it bite your fingers and chase the fish around the tank?![]()
