I'm just back from a liveaboard to the Red Sea. During the days I've been there I almost always kept my photo-equipment in fresh water. I finished to clean my equipement at home while I noticed the halo residual of drops on the surface of the UWL lens. How can I clean the lens?

First try a little soap/water - dry carefully.

If that doesn't work - Windex.

If that doesn't work - soak in white vinegar for a little bit and then clean with warm water.

Or, start with the vinegar.

Wait a sec - I thought its not good to use certain things on the lens due to the coating.....Anyone?

well most optical/camera shops will sell a wash for lenses. Those will work fine with the add-on lenses (i just use some soap water and a microfibre cloth to clean it).

I wrote an e-mail to Inon about using a liquid solution like Windex and coating. I hope I didn't damage the lens
