But will the new rules actually be monitored and enforced...

How long have you been going down there?

I hope the operators will see it as an additional opportunity monetize the dive. Dive refresher and/or AOW course to get what you need to safely dive the Hole.

Long enough to know that the written laws/rules/policies are not the practical laws/rules/policies.

I wonder how the middle of the night Delivery rule will work out in San Pedro?

I'll be there in May on the Aggressor III and will go if the rest of the boat wants to, but I'm not too excited about doing a bounce dive on air. I'd like the chance to do it on trimix, either with my rebreather or a set of doubles, but that doesn't seem likely. Is mix even available there?

The Aggressor will have nitrox, but I think He is a "fat chance" item anywhere....

You need to find a similarly qualified buddy as yourself and then find out if the operator will permit deco.

Check out Huracan Diving... they are right near the BH... You're finishing up your dive just as other boats are arriving. We have no option bit air, but I sling a second 80 and take my time...

Our last give there was about 180' with a 71 minute run time... very nice.

Aggressor will have about a 25% EAN option for the dive at the Blue Hole. My total run time was about 40 minutes. We spent a few minutes at depth. Run a dive plan with 25%. I think you will find it is more than a bounce. I think the only place with He in Belize is Belize Diving Services in Caye Caulker. You *might* be able to get some Trimix delivered to Aggressor for the dive, but it is doubtful that they will allow you to do the dive as a technical dive since it is unlikely they could supervise a non-recreational dive and your different schedule would mess up the other passengers schedules. They are extremely sensitive about safety since Lighthouse Reef is so remote and medical care is a long way away. They WILL usually allow anyone who wants to take an extra AL80 on a sling, you supply the rigging.

I wouldn't expect the Aggressor to have He or rebreather support. I could see slinging an extra bottle, though, no reason not to.
