Hi All
My wife and I will be diving in Soma Hurgada first week of October. This is our first visit to Egypt and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks in advance
BK

I wish I'd seen this post earlier. I was in Soma Bay last July and had a wonderful time. I dove with Orca divers there, which was a very professionally run company. Particular highlights were Abu Kefan and Panorama Reef. The only somewhat odd feature of Soma Bay is that it caters to a predominantly German clientele...and the fact that it's just a really weird place. Just 5 hotels in the middle of the desert. I suppose many of the Red Sea resort areas are like this, but the artificiality of the setup was a bit discomfiting. This is really neither here or there...

How did your trip go? Where did you stay? I was at the Cascades hotel myself.
