There were a few threads a while ago on how to get your anti-cramp potassium fix without taking bananas on a liveaboard (or other boat). I just found out that Kiwis are super high in potassium! Sounds like a yummy SI snack to me...

but if you beleive thos kinds of silly superstitions you wouldn`t be able to get on the boat yourself ... being female :0)

Seriously - every liveaboard I have been on had a bunch of bananas on board

Personally, I think it's bad luck to be superstitious.

Forget the superstitions. Banana's are great, especially if you are prone to motion sickness. They don't taste any different coming up than they did going down!

Sounds good, but don't the little buggers run real quick when you try to catch them?

Note: I'm Australian, so I'm legally allowed to make jokes like this one.

Bananas are great when one is prone to seasickness. They seem to be mild enough and starchy enough to settle my stomach when it starts acting up. They are the perfect food for diving, really. Too bad most of the boat captains in NJ won't allow you to set one fin on their boat if you have one. :icosm11:
