I really like beach diving, you get to be on your own schedule and fast as slow or fast as you want. But other than Bonaire, where can I dive on my own right at the resort? Any pacific destinations?

Caribbean: CoCoView doesn't mind if you solo dive from their well regarded shore dive.

A whole lot of people do.

Can't speak to any specific resort but there's plenty of shore diving in Curacao, and I don't recall seeing any "Scuba Police" at any of the dives sites I've been to there.

:eyebrow:

Broward County Florida has tons of shore diving possibilties, but it is hard work to bust 50'.
This may not be what you are looking for at all.

I was going to Suggest Curacao or Coco View (Roatan) but Doc and RJP beat me to it.

I have Dove at Eagle Point resort in Anilao Philipines but they were pretty stick on the buddy system. Had to Pay a DM $10 a dive. One of them was a kid, I handed him the $10(500 peso). They are very corupt there so if you don't give him cash he won't get it.

ditto.......CoCoView Resort, Roatan. Shore diving 24/7 right at the resort to 2 great walls or 2 wrecks, all walking distance from your room. :D No scuba police, just grab your gear and walk into the water anytime you want. :D Lots of people solo dive there or go as a group with others staying there. There is always someone ready to go.

Tulamben, Bali ... some of the best beach diving I have ever done.

... Bob (Grateful Diver)

Plenty of nice shore diving on Maui - no scuba police there that I encountered.

North Sulawesi - Indonesia has two places where most of the resorts offer free house reef dives: Bunaken & Lembeh!! Give it a try!!

Of course Tulamben in Bali too.

Have a fabulous day to you all!
