Sorry, we'll be closed on Friday, to celebrate Independence Day. Apparently the official holiday in the States is the 3rd. Also, it is Flag Day here in Curacao on Thursday, all of the grocery stores will be closed. I'll be shopping on Friday afternoon. I'm not sure about the other stores, check with your hotel's front desk before heading out to shop etc. The island loves loooong weekends. There might be some with 4 days off and headed to the beaches although like you, many travel when the kids get out of school.
