I am currently using the original tran pak but am needing a new setup as mine is wearing out. Here in the Carib. the numbers are about 50/50 for soft harness vs. backplates. I have used both and don't mind one more than the other. I don't wear more than a 6mm here in warm water so weight is not an issue.
What in your opinion are the pros and cons to a backplate? What about the bp material? What brand do you use and why?
