Sods in may was fantastic! Had 10 amazing dives there. Me and a buddy drove down after voting at 7:15 am. We did most of 2 mile and a lovely dive to 5 mile where we swam with dolphins on the way out. Also had a pod swimming around us on stringer which caused the potato bass to use me as a human shield. Best trip there by far!

May is a great time to dive there, had about 15-20m vis every day and sea was calm. Was a bit windy which made things a bit bumpy on the boat but nothing unbearable. On one morning, it looked as though we were diving in a bottle of gin. The wind also meant that the current was fairly strong on some days, for those of you who know the reef, we had a drift from Simons on the north end to the beginning on bikini on the southern end, what a ride.

Other things to note, nitrox is hellishly expensive so be prepared to fork out for fancy gas. Adventuremania can organize night dives if you can find a group of 8 or more. Don't be afraid to pay for upgrades to further reefs, it's worth it.
