Last March I was on a liveaboard trip to the Revillagigedo Islands aka Socorro on the Nautilus Belle Amie. We had a couple bad days with high swell and low visibility. Still there were some memorable encounters with lots of dolphins, silky sharks up close, mantas doing backflips etc.. I would like to share the video from this trip. It was shot with a Sony RX100 m2 in a Nauticam Housing except the drone footage which I got from the operator. I hope you enjoy it

That's an awesome trip. Do they not have filters for the Nauticam? The drone footage is spectacular. I'm jealous. I love your shark pile perspective too.

Thanks a lot :) yes there are filters but I used a inon dome to get a wider angle and I have not found any filters for that yet.

This is from my trip on the same boat a couple of years ago with just a 'shallow' Flip Filter on my GoPro4:

How did you like the Belle Ami?

I did the Socorro trip several years ago on a different boat. The "common areas" were spectacular with mahogany, brass fittings and frosted glass, but the cabins were so small that there wasn't room to change your mind in them.

From everything I have seen, the Belle Ami looks very nice and spacious.

We did this trip in November of 2014 on the Rocio Del Mar. To date is was my all around best trip although Palau is such a close second I'm not sure you could measure the difference.

Going back in 2019. The RDM is an excellent boat I can highly recommend.

I've been on it twice, and while the boat is nice: the crew is awesome!
