Socorro Island, is there a way to access/hike it during a liveaboard trip?

Since there is a Mexican Navy base there, I suspect that land access is severely restricted.

In all the trips I have done to Socorro, I never heard of it offered as a land visit. But then again, I never asked either.

No..it's not a thing. That said, we did a couple of hikes in Cocos so if you want to combine diving and land excursions maybe that's another option.

Well, there was that Liveaboard that made a "rough landing" on the Island a couple of years ago. I'm sure those passengers would have preferred to stay on board all things considered.
