You can, although since I also use my wetsuit for freediving I prefer not to have pockets permanently attached. So I bought a pair of X-Shorts (essentially bike-type shorts with scuba pockets) from Fifth Dimension. You put these on over the wetsuit but under your gear. Very handy!mweitz:
