Snoots are agnostic to camera /housing but are very strobe dependent. There are snoots that range from the plumbing supply company to those with real lenses in them. Giant PITA to shoot with BUT when you get THE shot it is worth it. For the most part I think that successful snooting is best done with the strobe off camera, on tripod.

Bill can I ask you about the Crystal blue resort in Anilao. We are looking at doing a trip to Anilao next year form Australia. Is this a good resort? Clean? Good local food, etc?

Looking at snoots for z240

I like them a lot (we have been 3 times). Check out our website (BlueViews | Home Page) for the Anilao videos (there is a 2012 and 2013 version) for what you might find there. The resort is very clean, great camera room and the food is good and there are lots of local dishes there. The resort like many in Anilao is built in the side of a hill so there are steps from the rooms to the dive deck but not a big deal at all. Give Mike Bartick a shout, he is a good friend and runs the photo stuff at Crystal Blue and he will make sure you get the guides that you need for what you want to shoot.
