1) Has anyone been on the Snefro Love liveaboard? If so, did you enjoy it and would you recommend it?

2) What is the best way to get to Sharm al-Sheikh? The problem with the EgyptAir flights from Cairo to Sharm al-Sheikh is that the first available one would be so close to the arrival time of my flight from New York that I would risk missing it. I would have to wait so long for the next flight that night that I might as well take a taxi or the bus to Sharm al-Sheikh instead and get there around the same time or sooner, but I understand that driving through the Sinai peninsula would be a security risk. I also checked the Sharm al-Sheikh FAQ thread, and recent posts indicated that flights from Cairo to Sharm al-Sheikh were cancelled frequently anyway.

I don't know anything about the Snefro but there are many liveaboards that operate in the Red Sea. You might have better luck searching a British or European scuba forum for info, because the Red Sea is the nearest warm-water dive destination for many people in that live in that part of the world.

The Aggressor is offering a $1379 special on their Red Sea itineraries which is a fabulous price, see below, but you would have to book soon. That's less than $400 more than a Blackbeard's cruise for an exotic Aggressor trip! Of course your travel time and airfare would be much greater than Blackbeard's, but you would diving in the Red Sea!

I know that you have been looking to take a trip before the end of this year, and that's great, but if you are also interested in doing a RS liveaboard, you could put down a deposit now and book a cruise for say June of next year at a great price, and pay the balance when it is nearer the time of departure.

I am sure that the price is based on double occupancy but you can usually get the discount rate if you indicate a willingness to share a cabin with a same-gender roommate - and sometimes it turns out that it isn't necessary to share - depending on how fully booked they are that week.

The Aggressor offers both northern and southern routes but I believe they now depart from Hurghada, not Sharm. I am sure that they would try to accommodate customers with flights from North America, because I would imagine that most of their passengers are Americans and Canadians because it is a popular US company.

We did a Red Sea Aggressor trip out of Sharm many years ago and it was a fabulous experience. I am so glad that we did it!

Kathy, it's not very fair to advertise here, shoud be better to go to
ScubaBoard Marketplace
and in addition, I'm sorry to say it, but this doesn't seem a fabulous price... look here : http://www.dune-world.com/tarifs-croisieres-egypte-2017/

Ironborn, may I suggest a flight JKF-SSH (with 2 hours transit in Riyadh) with Saudia airlines, flights SV-22 and SV-327 for +/- 720 usd ?
It's true that Egyptair is not the best compromise, as the transit in Cairo may be very long... and I should not consider the road option, for security reasons. You can also choose to make an overnight in Cairo, just to have a look at te pyramids and the egyptian museum Supreme Council of Antiquities - Museums

I was not advertising, I was just passing on information, as are you. As I stated, I do not have familiarity with other Red Sea liveboards, but it is likely that the Aggressor would be able to advise and accommodate regarding flights from North America because that is their customer base. I also said that there are many other liveaboards operating in the Red Sea and suggested that the OP look at other sites for more information. And it is a fabulous price for the Aggressor fleet, which is a high-end US-based liveaboard company, but of course they are not the only option. I have no vested interests in the Aggressor company, I am just a former customer.
