Snake River Filter on Backscatter Flip System

I currently have the backscatter 3.1 Flip system. I'm using a Macro Lens and the cheap backscatter filter that came with the system. I want to move over to the Snake River CYN 55mm filter. Can I just buy another 55mm adapter from backscatter and then attach the Snake River filter to it? Snake River says that they ARE NOT compatible but it seems I saw someone that had made it work. Anybody here using a setup like this?

Also, anyone know the differences between the old Flip3.1 system and the new Flip4 system?

I can't say for the SRP 55mm filter on the Flip system specifically, but I do use non Flip 55mm (and larger filters with adapters) on the Flip 55mm holders all the time ....

Maybe the SRP 55mm is a different pitch of thread? Else the marketing/sales team really wants you to buy all their stuff?

I have used 55mm SRP filters using the Backscatter 55mm flip adapter. It works fine.

I even stacked the backscatter +10 macro w SRP Cy filter as some people here had done. Reason is that the Marumi macro offered by SRP has a smaller aperture that can crop the image. However, New +10macro by backscatter has a thinner ring so another SRP 55mm lens adapter is needed to stack them. Then theres a problem of trapping bubbles underwater between the lenses.

Why go thru so much trouble? Under the right conditions, the. SRP Cy glass filter is just amazing for color correction. Feels as if u are looking at an Aquarium tank!

Agreed, I have the SRP filter and a friend has the backscatter and the color from the SRP are better. Not sure how to do the stacking however, it would be pretty cool as when I get close to the subject the video loses focus.
