The DR Venture wing is also very similar and can be used with the Transpac or a backplate. You can change the hose length on the Travel or Venture wing if you like or change to an elbow quite easily also.

Bruce3:
sell your transpac and get yourself a SS backplate then get a oxycheq 30# wing. you wont regret it, i sure didnt!

Fr a travel rig, Oxycheq's travel plate and 18lb wing take up way less space and weight than a full plate and 30lb wing. I use my 18 lb wing with an AL plate since I had it already, but if I was buying new, I'd go with the travel plate.

I really like my DSS LCD 20. Small and rugged.

I would look at the DSS or the Oxycheq. Both seem to be very well made and I have a hard time deciding which i like more.

I use the Dive Rite Venture wing, which has the same amount of lift (30 pounds) as the Travel wing. The difference is the Travel wing has an elastic outer shell to keep it small and streamlined, whereas Venture's outer shell is made of ballistic nylon (non-elastic) but I didn't notice it being bulky on dives. The advantage of having a 30lb wing is I can use it on single tanks in both warm and cold waters (I use 25lbs of weight in cold water, so 30lbs of lift is sufficient). The wing is small and lies flat when fully deflated, making it easy to pack in my carry-on luggage.
Dive safely.

Over the last few days, I got three dives in on a DSS Kydex plate/TTW17 setup I was demoing, and although I'll be writing a longer post about it (with pictures!) I have to say the end result was that I wrote to Tobin and asked him what it was going to cost me to keep them . . . It's a lovely, small wing, and extremely easy to vent. Whether it goes on a Transpac is something you'd have to ask Tobin, because I've never seen one.

Oxycheq 18 lb., or Oxycheq Mach V 30 lb. wings are very high quality. Top-of-the-line.

Just my 2 psi...

I put half a dozen dives on my LCD20 and kydex backplate when in Cuba and it works very well. The small size made it a breeze to pack, the complete setup must be ablt to fit in a shoebox. Underwater, it trimed out very well, even with the short cuban tanks, and completely disappeared on my body. The build quality is very good, the only beef I have is that the holes for the wing grommets in the Kydex BP are a tad to small, this makes installing the wing harder than on the SS BP. Overall, I am extremely pleased with Tobins products one again.
